First, I’d like to
congratulate Jeff and Cory on the expansion of their business. Second, for those of you who are not aware of
Jeff Youngblood’s background, he was, for around ten years, the digital
services manager at Thomas Reprographics (now called Thomas Printworks) in
Dallas. After that, he was the General
Manager of Express Color’s Dallas location.
And, after that, he worked for FastSigns Corporate (the franchisor) and
was responsible for rolling-out wide-format digital color printing services at
FastSigns franchisee locations around the U.S.
Jeff is one smart cookie and a great guy. Nice to see his business continuing to grow and
expand.

FASTSIGNS® of
Irving/Las Colinas, owned by Jeff
Youngblood and Cory Merchant, is celebrating 28 years in business by moving
to a larger suite within its current shopping center and more than doubling in
size.
“We’re adding
4,500 square feet of space with this move and building a one-of-a-kind showroom
that can only be described as a sign buyer’s dream store—think of a ‘sign
depot’,” Youngblood said in a news release. “Moving and building out this new
8,500-square-foot center creates an even better environment for our team and
for our customers.”
The new location
will open its doors in November and an Open House event is scheduled for Dec.
8. The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon
cutting ceremony during the open house.
FASTSIGNS of
Irving/Las Colinas is investing $100,000 into the move and expansion, with an
additional $60,000 investment from landlord JAH Property Co.
One of the
oldest centers in a global network of more than 590 locations, FASTSIGNS® of
Irving/Las Colinas has been recognized as a Small Business of the Year by the
Irving Chamber and the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce. It first opened in
1987 and was purchased by Youngblood and Merchant in 2005.
