February 20, 2012 - Service Point has announced the appointment of the Norwegian Christian Paulsen as the new Director of Business Development of the Spanish multinational Online.

Paulsen comes from the Norwegian subsidiary of Service Point where he was the Executive Director since 2008. Previously, Paulsen had been Director of Marketing and Sales in the Norwegian subsidiary of Service Point from 2004 to 2008.

The incorporation of Christian Paulsen to the central Service Point is part of the strategy undertaken by the company to enhance online business. The new Director of Business Development Online Service Point began his career in the Group in 2004, when he became Director of Marketing and Sales Allkopi AS, a company that was acquired by Service Point in 2007. Paulsen has directed the Norwegian subsidiary of Service Point since 2008 and is responsible for the strong growth experienced in sales in the region. In 2011 Norway Point Service billed 16% of total Group sales and expects to reach sales of 36 M € in 2012.

Paulsen has a profile markedly entrepreneurial and before beginning his career at Service Point, had launched two successful business ventures in Norway. The first was Delphi AS, a company that began as the only employee Paulsen and producing brochures and books with financial reporting by companies listed on the Norwegian stock market. Paulsen AS Delphi sold in 1988 and launched a new project: Evercom AS, a manufacturer of computers according to specifications set by customers, after its merger with a Swedish company in 1997, was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. From 1997 to 2002 Paulsen took various positions in senior management of the new company Evercom Network ASA.

His first contact in the world of print had it in Hippopotamus AS, a small printing company where eco-friendly sustainability played a crucial role and that opened the doors to enter Allkopi then Service Point Norway.

"The successes of Paulsen in the management of the Norwegian subsidiary of Service Point have been crucial to incorporate the team of the company's core services," said Juan Jose Nieto, president of Service Point. "Paulsen is responsible for diversification that has experienced our product portfolio through its Norwegian subsidiary products marketing experience in both B2C online channel as in the traditional distribution and development of online solutions with high added value as iDekor".

Best wishes to Christian for great success in his new role!
